Laxey transfers its first fish
The Icelanic farmer's first batch is now in the post-smolt pools at the Vidlagafjara facility.
The company calls it all in a news update "a truly significant milestone."
"The last few weeks have been marked by preparations for this event, and the atmosphere has been electric with anticipation. Everyone has been eager and ready to contribute to making this a success. A big thank you goes to both the construction and technical teams for ensuring that the post-smolt tanks were ready in time," writes Laxey.
According to the company, the transfer went seamlessly, and the fish are adapting well to their new surroundings.
