Recently, Imenco Aqua Chile has developed various initiatives that align with the freshwater production cycle, as well as land-based farming efforts.

“On one hand, we have a complete line of Exact automatic feeders, such as robots and individual feeders. On the other, the oxygen diffuser systems,” stated David Ulloa, general manager of the company.

Regarding the oxygenation systems, Ulloa detailed that they have conducted extensive research locally, in order to perform field evaluations and validate all the improvements that have been made to the systems.

“VitaDi is our oxygenation system for both freshwater and seawater, this has not changed. However, in the case of freshwater, a series of improvements and complementary services have been incorporated, making our approach to our clients much more robust and comprehensive. Currently, clients not only request a measurement of oxygen injection and its efficiency, but they also require advice on aspects such as the definition of rotameters, calibration, distribution lines, whether there are leaks, purity measurement, among others. And all these services are provided by our company, with analysis and measurement of parameters on-site,” explained the executive.

In addition to this, according to Ulloa, the company's expertise in developing these improvements is also from the perspective of fish welfare. "It is not enough for us to just install an oxygenation system, an instrument. In addition to this, we have dedicated ourselves to informing about the importance of oxygen in fish physiology and how it affects their development and growth. Thus, we can guide to understand what the real oxygen demand of the biomass is and how a harmony is generated between that demand and the different elements that are installed in a fish farm."

Thus, taking all this into account, the company is working on the development of an innovative software, designed as an automatic tool that can analyze data and parameters and deliver solutions according to what the client requires.

"Thanks to the research we have conducted, the experience in this field, technical assistance, and parameter evaluation, in our test bench we can also measure other oxygen diffusers to know their efficiency," Ulloa pointed out.

According to what was stated by Felipe Kauak, commercial manager of Imenco Aqua Chile, all these complementary services to the systems provided by the company, "clients consider them as a differentiating factor. Interpreting the data and providing concrete solutions with that data in hand, both for biological aspects of the fish and also what benefits the producer has in terms of costs, is very positive because it generates great trust."

For Ulloa, it is of vital importance to know how to interpret the data provided by the system, and to be able to give it meaning in a much more global equation. "Here, the key is integration. We are not just a provider of an excellent oxygen diffuser for fish farming, but in addition to that, we are a company that provides a comprehensive advisory and support service in the issues related to the use of oxygen in their operations. With our tools, equipment, and professionals, we can assist in that area, from general aspects to technical details."
